The 5th annual North Central Florida Blues Society's Women in Blues Showcase is May 20, 2018 at Cypress & Grove, a fantastic new woman-owned venue. Join them in celebrating the Blues and the important role female performers have played, do play, and will play in keeping the music vibrant in what has become their fastest growing event!
The performers this year include International Blues Challenge participants (including Finalists and Semifinalists) and some that have participated in Women in Blues showcases all over the country.

Cassie Keenum (Gainesville, FL)
Laurie Lacross-Wright (Winter Haven, FL/Flint, MI)
Lauren Mitchell (Bradenton, FL)
Niecie (Detroit, MI/Nashville, TN)
Chelsea Oxendine (Gainesville/Live Oak, FL)
Sheba the Mississippi Queen (Ocala, FL)
Sugar and Spice (Tampa, FL)
Pam Taylor (Lancaster, SC)
There is also an all-female house band, including Christine Alexander (drums) and Pam Taylor (guitar).
The event will run from 3 to 9 pm. Admission will be a suggested donation of $10.
A Samantha Fish Autographed guitar and poster will be available through a raffle or auction at the event!
The North Central Florida Blues Society, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to preserve, cultivate, nurture and promote the Blues and support Blues performance in North Central Florida while providing an increased awareness and appreciation for Blues music through education, promotion and performance.
