The Marcus Roberts Trio is known for its virtuosic style and entirely new approach to jazz trio performance.  While most jazz trios have the piano front and center, all members of the Marcus Roberts Trio share equally in shaping the direction of the music by changing its tempo, mood, texture, or form at any time. And they do this with lightning quick musical reflexes and creative imaginations. The trio is known for having almost telepathic communication on the stage.  And more than a few concert goers have been heard to say that it sounds like a lot more than three people up there on the stage!

The Pompano Cultural Center serves as a catalyst for economic growth, a cultural haven for artists and the destination for cutting-edge culture in Pompano Beach using the power of the arts to uplift, revitalize and build a stronger community. As the jewel of the triumvirate of new art spaces, the Cultural Center presents one-of-a-kind, revolutionary programming that stimulates artistic, economic and community development. Our diverse multi-disciplinary, inter-generational programs offer hands-on workshops that foster the development of inventive minds creating a thriving epicenter abuzz with music, arts and cultural activity for people of all backgrounds and ages. We inspire innovation in all artistic disciplines, making Pompano Beach a destination for cutting-edge culture in Broward County and beyond.

Jazz & Blues Florida is how
to get the word out to the people
that want to know!

Our production schedule for the 2017-18
season is starting to fill - contact us soon
for the best distribution dates.

Work has begun on the AUGUST issue of Jazz & Blues Florida and we are currently taking orders. We begin placements immediately on orders placed and paid for, so if we took your order for AUGUST today, you would receive the balance of JULY exposure at no additional cost.

Package prices start at $120 per month, and every package includes full platform placements of: 1) Display ad in monthly magazine, 2) Banner ads, 3) News Blog posting with social media distribution, 4) Email blast, and 5) Premium listing. CLICK HERE for rate sheet.
  • Email me directly, Charlie@JazzBluesFlorida.com, to place an order.
  • The order deadline for the AUGUST 2017 issue is 7/25/17.
  • We are currently looking for Cover Features ($250) for SEPTEMBER and all of 2018. JULY, AUGUST, OCTOBER, NOVEMBER and DECEMBER are taken. Spotlight features ($50) are available every month. Please note a promotion package must be purchased in conjunction with all features.
Why a feature? Here is what Buddy Blue had to say that answers that:
“I’m the person on the cover for October (2015). It is October 6th today, meaning the magazine came out 6 days ago. My website monitors traffic, and I just checked that the traffic has increased 23% on a monthly average. That’s 6 days only. I can only imagine by the end of October. Furthermore, on this 6th day, I have so far received 2 calls for gigs, which will more than pay for what it cost me to advertise myself and my band. There is no “conspiracy” here. There’s no low-balling theft going on. There’s no trickery. This is business. Marketing and advertising at its best is what this is."

Best!

Jessie Jones Jr.
w/ The Mason Margut Trio

Jesse is a soulful player and entertainer out of Miami, Florida that has it all. Jones has been performing internationally for over 20 years sharing his musical talent in places in Russia, Germany, Italy, Ukraine, etc.

Through the many years of performing, he has performed with Donald Byrd, Blue Mitchell, Dexter Gordon, Joe Williams, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eartha Kitt, Clark Terry, Allan Harris, Ira Sullivan, Melton Mustafa, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Monty Alexander, to name a few.

He combines the hard-bop influence of Cannonball Adderley, the funk of Hank Crawford, and the sweetness of Paul Desmond. Their influences may be detected within Jesse's riffs. Add to that some of the most unusual "scat" jazz singing when Jesse sings "straight" or through his horns, and the jazz audiences go wild. The humor is international in scope since these are not words but rather sounds that move and groove with the music.

Mason Margut is a Brevard County native and a 2014 graduate of Satellite High School. Over the past few years, Mason has been a featured performer in Tallahassee and Central Florida including nearby the Atlantic Music Center, Cocoa Village Playhouse, Henegar Center for the Arts, and the King Center for the Performing Arts, as well as Sublime Restaurant, Open Mike's, various private events, and of course, Heidi's Jazz Club. A recipient of the Space Coast Jazz Society scholarship and a College of Music scholarship, Mason is continuing his passion for music by studying jazz at the Florida State University in Tallahassee pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance studying under William Peterson. He has also studied with pianists Marcus Roberts and Benny Green.
